Science & Technology are inseparable aspects of our world - constantly evolving to endlessly to shape and reshape our lives. This makes it imperative for people from all walks of life to understand, appreciate and effectively benefit from the advances in the realm of Science & Technology.
The progressive State of Gujarat accords great significance to Science & Technology with the objective of promoting economic growth and ensuring the well-being of people from all walks of life. Popularization of a culture of science and nurturing scientific temper are important drivers of growth in the emerging environment of knowledge-driven economies.
Gujarat Science City is a bold initiative of the Government of Gujarat to realize this priority. Located at Ahmedabad, Gujarat Science City is a sprawling campus which houses various museums / experience centers to provide a perfect blend of education and entertainment. These experience centers will showcase contemporary and imaginative exhibits, working models, virtual reality, activity corners, labs and live demonstrations to provide visitors with an understanding of the various facets of Science & Technology.
The Government of Gujarat has established the Gujarat Council of Science City, a registered society, to achieve the Gujarat Science City mandate. In addition to the 107 hectares of land already in possession, 300 hectares of land is being acquired for future expansion of Science City & related projects.
